Jonathan J. Routley (JJ) has a Master of Theology from Western Seminary in Portland, OR. JJ is the Archaeology Program Director and Alumni/Emmaus Ministries Director at Emmaus Bible College in Dubuque, Iowa. He teaches archaeology and Bible/theology classes. He previously served at Emmaus as the Director of Spiritual Life, overseeing the chapel, small group, and service-learning programs. JJ has also taught courses in the Educational Ministries and Inter-Area Studies departments at Emmaus.
JJ regularly speaks at Christian camps and churches across the country. He has been involved in children’s and youth ministry for nearly a decade. JJ is married to his lovely wife Janelle (Flanagan), and they have two children, Asher (4) and Lillian (2). He enjoys biblical/theological reading, ancient Near Eastern history, carpentry and construction, preparing sermons, and spending time with his family.
